Our Goals

Nogara builds on its mission by turning cultural preservation into active peacebuilding.
We aim to:

Preserve and revive endangered cultural and musical traditions.
Use music and the arts as foundations for peace, healing, and social cohesion
Empower artists, women, and youth to become cultural leaders and advocates for unity.
Counter hate speech and polarization through inclusive cultural narratives.
Raise awareness about the cultural cost of war and the power of artistic resistance.

To achieve these goals, Nogara works through practical, community-based actions:

Archive songs, instruments, and oral stories from underrepresented Sudanese communities.
Support displaced artists with training, mentorship, and performance platforms
Organize workshops and art therapy programs for displaced youth to heal and reconnect.
Partner with peacebuilding organizations to integrate art into conflict resolution initiatives.
Build a digital and physical cultural library that preserves Sudan’s artistic and musical heritage for future generations.
